Welcome to Wildflour Cottage Bakery
Small-batch baked goods made from scratch, available monthly by pre-order
What Is Wildflour?
Wildflour is my monthly cottage bakery, operating from my licensed home kitchen in [Your City/Area]. I bake in small batches using real butter, quality flour, and ingredients I’d serve to my own familyābecause often, I am.
Everything is made to order. No day-old pastries, no industrial mixers, no shortcuts. Just really good baked goods that taste like someone who loves baking made them for someone they care about.
Why “Wildflour”?
The name came from two places: my love of wild, untamed things (I’m not a precious bakerāmy kitchen is messy, my hair has flour in it, and I believe imperfection makes things interesting), and of course, flourāthe foundation of everything I make.
Plus, it’s a terrible pun, and I couldn’t resist.
How It Works
Wildflour operates on a monthly pre-order schedule:
Week 1: Order window opens (usually the first Monday of each month) I announce the menu via email and Instagram. Browse what’s available and place your order.
Week 2: Order window closes, I confirm your order You’ll receive an email confirmation with your total, pickup/delivery details, and payment information.
Week 3: Baking week This is when the magic happens. I’m in my kitchen, probably listening to podcasts, making your order with care.
Week 4: Pickup or delivery You get fresh baked goods, still warm if you’re lucky.
What Makes Wildflour Different?
Small Batches, Big Care I’m not trying to serve the whole city. I limit orders so I can maintain quality and actually enjoy what I’m doing.
Real Ingredients Real butter (not shortening), organic flour when possible, pure vanilla extract, eggs from local farms when I can get them. I don’t cut corners.
Total Transparency I share my process, my pricing reasoning, my wins and failures. You’ll see behind-the-scenes of everything on my blog and Instagram.
Flexibility Need a custom order? Have dietary restrictions? Let’s talk. I can often accommodate special requests with enough notice.
Community Over Scale I’m not trying to be the biggest bakery. I’m trying to be the bakery you trust, where you know the person making your food, and where your order isn’t just a number.
Current Specialties
While my menu changes seasonally, these are always available by request:
- Sourdough loaves (country, whole wheat, cinnamon raisin)
- Chocolate chip cookies (brown butter, perfectly chewy)
- Cinnamon rolls (overnight-proofed, cream cheese frosting)
- Seasonal fruit pies (when fruit is in season)
Pricing Philosophy
I price my products to reflect the actual cost of quality ingredients, the time it takes to make things properly, and a fair wage for my labor. You’re not just paying for flour and butterāyou’re paying for years of learning, early mornings, and the expertise to make sure your special occasion dessert turns out perfectly.
Cottage bakeries can’t compete with grocery store pricing, and I don’t try to. What I offer instead: better ingredients, more care, and the knowledge that a real person made this specifically for you.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you take same-week orders? Generally, no. I need at least one week’s notice to plan ingredients and baking schedules. For emergencies, email meāI’ll see what I can do.
Can you accommodate dietary restrictions? I can often work with dairy-free or egg-free requests with advance notice. I cannot guarantee gluten-free products as my kitchen is not dedicated gluten-free.
Do you do wedding cakes? No, but I’d love to provide dessert bars, cookies, or breakfast pastries for your event. I focus on what I do best.
How do I pay? I accept Venmo, PayPal, Zelle, or cash. Payment is due when you pick up your order.
What if I need to cancel? Life happens! Cancel at least 48 hours before pickup for a full refund. Less notice than that, and I may have already purchased ingredients and started baking.
Can I order just one cookie/roll/item? Most items have a minimum order quantity (usually 6-12) because of the time involved in setup and cleanup. Check the current menu for specifics.
